About
I see my career as one where I enjoy helping those who are exceptionally challenged.

Although I recently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the California State University of Channel Islands, I am not a typical new graduate. I have the maturity, necessary skills and a passion to work in a position that provides support for individuals that struggle with extra challenges in life. I understand those that are misunderstood because of behavior or mental issues. The transition into adulthood is hard enough for the ordinary person. For a young person with additional challenges it becomes much harder.

During my clinical experience in Ventura, I worked with young adults who were trying to live a normal life and had to deal with the extra burden of having a physical or mental disability. This experience showed me that each individual needed a different type of specific support so they might live as independent as they possibly can. I gained experience documenting detailed observations. My prior knowledge of interpersonal communication skills were most valuable.

Additionally, I have some experience with computer technology and have created this web page.

I hope my portfolio gives you a better picture of who I am.
